Define the Half Working Day in the Company

Does your company has a half working day?  In practice, Saturday is the most common half working day implemented by the company.  Mostly, the employees are required to work during Saturday morning and their weekend would start on Saturday afternoon.

Here's how to set it up and define the proper treatment when there is a leave applied during the half-working day.

Before doing so, it is important that the company working hours and days be defined.

Step 1

On the dashboard, go to the Settings section and click the Company tab.

Step 2

Scroll down to Half working day.  The default option is No. It means that the company is not implementing a half working day.

If the company have a half working day, click the Yes button.

Step 3

Full day leave applied on half working day is treated as;

If a full day leave is applied on a half working day, select how it should be appropriately treated. 

A. Full day leave

B. Half day leave

The number of work hours, equivalent or less than to which is treated as half-day:

Also, if the employee works for a fraction of daily working hours, you can specify the number of work hours rendered, equivalent or less than to which is treated as a half day.
