Create a New Outlet

In Carbonate, the Outlet means a branch, an office, or a geographical location of a group of employees.  For example, if the Main Office of a company is located in Singapore, and the company is employing remote workers from Indonesia, then we can create a new outlet for Indonesian employees. 

Only the Admin can create a new Outlet.



Step 1

On the dashboard, go to the Outlet section.


Step 2

Click on +Add Outlet at the top right corner of the page.

Step 3

On the Create new outlet window, fill out all the fields.

A. Name of outlet*.  This is a required field. 

B. Location Address.  Input the exact and precise address.


We suggest keeping the radius to a minimum of 75m range. You can move the red pin on the map around in case you cannot find the exact location of your outlet.

D. Outlet Code

It sets how far the employees will be able to check in/out from the centre of the outlet.

E. Map

Moving the red pin on the map may change your address which you had entered manually.

F. Other details.  Complete the other fields from Latitude, Longitude, tags, etc.

Step 4

Outlet Accessibility

A. Accessible to few selected employees

When you enable this feature, the outlet will be accessible to only selected employees.

B. Accessible to all employees in organization

Checking the box beside this will automatically uncheck the box for Accessible to few selected employees

C. Enable wifi attendance

When you activate this feature, you will need to configure the system so that the employees in this outlet can perform attendance.

Step 5

Outlet Visibility.

Choose what location information is accessible to employee belonging to this outlet on check in/out.

Step 6

Click Save.
