Compensation Preference For Holidays that Falls on a Non-working Day

When a Public Holiday falls on a non-working day, the company may provide compensation for the employees.  The compensation may be Off in lieu leave or salary compensation. 

In this guide, you can set the preferences with regard to the compensation. 

Before you can set the compensation preferences, the Staff must have updated the labour type he/she belongs. Below is the user guide for your reference. 

Only the Admin and Managers with leave privileges may perform this setup.

Step 1

On the dashboard, go to the Settings section and click the Leave/Holiday tab.

Step 2

Scroll down and go to the Holidays on non working day.

Toggle the Yes button.

 

Step 3

Now, you can the preferences.

A. How do you provide the compensation?

When you toggle the button to Off in Lieu leave, you can specify the days to be included as compensation.

B. How many days to be included as compensation?

Input the number of days.

C. Select employee type eligible for compensation

The default is All employees but you can select according to the labour type.

D. Labour type

Input the labour type in the field box.

Step 4.

A. How do you provide the compensation?

When you toggle the button to Salary Compensation, you can specify the value to be included as compensation.

B. How many folds of per day salary to be included as compensation?

Input the number of folds per day.

C. Select employee type eligible for compensation

The default is All employees but you can select according to the labour type.

D. Labour type

Input the labour type in the field box.

 

Step 5

Click Save.

Once the compensation is approved it will reflect in payroll.
